Junior to Middle WordPress Full-stack Developer
We are looking for a Junior to Middle WordPress Full-Stack Developer with 2+ years of experience to join our growing team as a full-time, remote team member.
We expect:
- Experience as a Full-Stack developer (using PHP-based stack) with at least 2 years of hands-on experience;
- Experience in WordPress development, including custom theme and plugins development;
- Basic understanding of DB layer: complex queries, optimization, performance;
- Experience with PHP, OOP, MySQL, and JavaScript (including jQuery);
- Strong experience with markup (HTML, CSS, SCSS) - semantic markup, best practices understanding;
- Basic knowledge of version control systems (Git);
- Basic understanding of Docker-based development approach;
- Basic understanding of CI/CD;
- Ability to work in a team environment;
- Attention to details;
- Willingness to actively use AI tools in development;
- Strong communication skills;
- At least B1 level of English.
Would be a plus:
- Experience with Drupal 7-10;
- Experience with TypeScript, React and React Native, NodeJS;
- Experience with low-level PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony2, Slim);
- Experience with Python (Django, FastAPI).
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a WordPress-based web solution for existing projects, ensuring stability and continuous improvement;
- Optimize website performance by improving load speed, optimizing queries, and increasing overall efficiency;
- Work with databases: write complex queries, optimize database performance, and maintain data integrity;
- Participate in back-end development following modern web development standards and best practices;
- Work closely with the team to ensure clear communication and a smooth workflow at all stages of development.
